Belgian Blues


This herd was founded in 1995, with females from the Cowden and Rigedean herds Two of the most noteworthy cows are Cowden Maddonna, shown successfully for 2 seasons, weighing excess of 1 Tonne. A 22 month old daughter by Cubitus made 2700 guineas at Carlisle in May 2005, and Ridgedean Prudence, a daughter of the famous Ridgedean Jessie. Her in calf granddaughter, by Seduisant, made 3200 guineas at the may 2007 Carlisle sale.


Hillside Anacleto, purchased at Carlisle in May 2007. He was first seen being led by his breeder's 11 year old grandson, who also showed him around the local shows in Cumbria last summer. He is very correct, modern Belgian Blue, full of muscle.

Hemingby Ben , is a wel muscled son of Hemingby Warner and has been used this last winter.

Belinda , by Vigor Van Daisel , and out of a Belgian Blue x Lincoln Red cow . Champion Unhaltered beast at the Louth Annual Christmas show on 6/12/2007 .At just over 20 months old she weighed 566 kgs, making 190p a kilo, to gross £1070 .
